What is Mechatars?

Mechatars is an interactive toy robot and a free virtual online game. With a Mechatar robot, kids are able to drive their toy around with the included remote control, complete offline missions and also challenge their friends to online and offline Mechatar battles. Kids who have a Mechatar robot can connect it to the online game. Those without a Mechatar robot can still play the virtual online game for free. The objective of the game is for kids and Mechatars to work together and defeat the evil Swarm. To learn more about the game and the Mechatars universe, please visit the Universe page.

Who should play Mechatars?

Mechatars is designed for ages 6 and up.

Is it safe for my child to play Mechatars?

Safety is our highest priority and we consider Mechatars to be completely safe for children of all ages. We are in the process of obtaining several endorsement seals for safety certification and these will be displayed on the website soon.

How can my child sign up for Mechatars?

If your child has a physical Mechatar robot, you can sign up by connecting the robot to your computer using the included USB cable. On Windows PCs, the registration page will automatically load upon connecting the Mechatar to the computer for the first time. Mac users can download the Mechatars desktop app from support.mechatars.com.
To register for the online game only, simply click on “Play Now” from the Mechatars homepage, then click on the “Register” button. Your child will be prompted to select a virtual Mechatar (click on its picture to select the Mechatar), and then fill out the registration section. If your child is 13 years old or younger, a parent’s email address is required to complete the registration.

How much does it cost?

The Mechatars online game is completely free to play. You do also have an option to purchase Mechra (the Mechatars currency) to obtain elite weapons and missions, but this feature is entirely optional and is not required to progress in the game.
Remote control Mechatar robot toys are available at an MSRP of $39.99 and can be found at major retailers including Target, Toys R Us, RadioShack, and Amazon. You can also purchase them by clicking on the "Buy Now" link on the Mechatars website.

What does my child get with a Mechatars account?

With a free Mechatars account, your child can play the online game. With a free account, your child has access to all online game features, including online battles, leveling up, and teaming up with others in the fight against the evil Swarm.

Are there any chats or forums in the Mechatars game or website?

There are absolutely no chats or forums anywhere in the Mechatars game or anywhere on the Mechatars website.
